Peeping Tom is a very smart boy... he knew he needed help after winding up alone, scared, and hungry on the NYC streets. So he showed up at the window of one of our foster homes, where he likely saw other homing pigeons like him inside. The foster opened up her window and within a day, Tom just walked inside. Now he enjoys spending his days flying around the house and following the other birds from room to room, napping on his perches in his cage, taking baths (see video), and eating as many safflower seeds as his foster mom will let him! Peeping Tom has been through a lot and is still skittish around people, but he is very, very young and we think that in time he will learn to love his human family (he did choose to enter their home for crying out loud!). Tom cannot go to a home without other birds, so consider adopting him and his friend, Nova, or a second pigeon from another rescue (we can help you find someone!). Tom would do great in a predator proofed aviary home as well as inside a house/apartment. The most important thing is that Peeping Tom is safe and loved, and never winds up on the streets again!
