Meet DOTTIE… DOB est 6/12/2010, female, spayed, vaccinated, microchipped..

DOTTIE is a big eyed, gorgeously marked brown tabby senior female who would love being the center of attention as an only feline to someone special! DOTTIE joined our Rescue when her previous owners added kittens & puppies to their family & were surprised that she didn’t immediately adjust. After being the only kitty for many years, DOTTIE was given up by her ‘people’. Thankfully, Forgotten Felines stepped up, to give her a chance to be truly loved! She enjoys two-handed scritches on the cheek, ears and her back… and will curl & purr to your heart’s delight when handled this way! She also loves being spoiled with her own “Squeeze Up” treat daily! Although she is not presently a lap cat, we believe that she very well COULD be with patience and trust and a permanent home with fewer kitties than she is surrounded by in her loving foster home. Are YOU that special purrson that DOTTIE has been waiting for? Could YOU provide the love, shelter and patience this purrfectly beautiful senior deserves? Dottie is waiting with anticipation for the companionship she longs to share…. If interested, please EMAIL info@ffhsv.org or call a number above!

More about this rescue

Forgotten Felines, Inc. is a 501-(3)(c) non-profit charitable organization. Our primary purpose is to manage the feral cat population in our area by trapping, neutering/spaying and re-releasing (TNR) cats back into their original territories. We also work to provide safe temporary homes for cats that are homeless, unwanted, abandoned or lost. Some of our animals have been rescued from dangerous conditions and cannot be released back to their original territory...these animals are housed in foster homes until permanent loving homes can be found. The majority of these animals are friendly abandoned pets, that are not feral, and we offer these loving and grateful animals for adoption here on Petfinder and also at Petsmart in Jones Valley, Huntsville, AL. We also provide help to people who are elderly, disable, financially challenged and those who love their animals but cannot provide them with the necessary care.

Our Mission...

(1) Control feral cat populations through neutering/spaying
(2) Educate the public about about proper pet care and responsibility, especially neutering/spaying and advising about pet behavior and medical issues that often result in families giving up their pets
(3) Humanely remove and relocate ferals when possible
(4) Adopt out loving, grateful animals into permanent forever homes
(5) Raise necessary funds to build a shelter for rescued cats
