Ellie Mae - Some things just fill our heart without even trying!!
Howdy, there!! My namesake is the beautiful, critter lovin' Jed Clampett daughter on the iconic TV series, "The Beverly Hillbillies."
The character, Elly May (played by the talented Donna Douglas) was a beautiful gal with a heart of gold!! We definitely have that in common!! Along with my obvious good looks, I have a super sweet and easy going temperment. I get along with all of the other dogs and never bother the horses, deer or livestock on the ranch!! Another thing I have in common with the original Elly May...a love of other animals!!
I love getting belly scratches and am a gentle soul (Foster Mom says that she can tell that by the kind look in my eyes!!)
I walk well on leash and have an obliging and obedient nature. Future training should be easy peasy because of my people pleasin' personality and desire to be a "good girl".
I am a medium energy kind of gal and am ok with sometimes just "chillaxing"; don't get me wrong, I love my daily hikes to the river, but I will be ok if I don't run a 5K marathon every day. I mostly just wants to be with my own hooman.
My hairytage is an amazing combination of the ever popular Collie and the highly intelligent working dog, the Great Pyrenees. My personality is a pleasing combination of both; I am friendly and loving like a Collie, but more reserved and controlled like a Great Pyrenees. I don't have the Collie's bounciness and don't jump on people !! I am a friendly young lady but know how to mind my manners!!!
At only 4 months young, I weigh in at a svelte and lovely 34 pounds. Most likely I will be around the size of your Collie kind of dawg (60-70 pounds) when fully growed!!
If your ideal canine companion has the stunning good looks and demeanor of an "uptown girl" but the kindness and good heart of a "country gal", I'm the one!! We will have a happy and friendly life together!! Before you know it, you will be hollerin' at your kinfolk "Ya'll come back now, y'hear?"
Will you be the family to share your adventures with this sweet girl? She is waiting to be a part of your family. Will you please fill out her adoption application, she just needs YOU!!
