Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sweet Petey is a handsome, medium sized black and white pittie boy that came to us as a stray from the streets of downtown Birmingham. When we first met him, we noticed an old injury to his back legs - so he’s got a little swag in his walk but it isn’t enough to slow him down! He is healed up and ready for adventure. Petey is about a year old, so he still has the willingness to learn of a young dog, without all of the crazy puppy tendencies!
Petey is gentle, timid with new people and sweet. He is playful with other dogs, but isn’t the kind of pup that’s going to stir everyone up and have them acting crazy! He has done well with every human he has met, big or small, and hasn’t shown any prey-drive towards cats! He is sweet as pie, but might require some patience as he warms up to his new humans.
Petey is an amazing boy who deserves so much more than the hand that he has been dealt, and we would love to break him out of boarding and get him into a wonderful foster or forever home! If you’re looking for a shy and sweet snuggle buddy, Petey is your guy!
