My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet the most adorable little lady we have named Ethel. She was curious to see what the world was all about while on an adventure so she arrived at the shelter on 6/18. She has ID but the family has not bothered to come and claim the little angel. Ethel is only 6 months old and weighs 28lbs. It is sad to think that she may has been out on her own for quite some time. This really cute baby girl is in need of a responsible forever family that will make sure she is protected and kept safe from harm. She is really smart in her young age because she already knows how to sit. She may know more and would be more than willing to learn a lot more commands. She is good on leash but stops on short notice. So she is learning and trying really hard to understand a leash. But she will need a a favorite person or family that will give her great patience and reassurance to help her learn leash training. She will have that down in no time at all!

Ethel is still fairly young, so she is going to need all the guidance and reassurance she so deserves. Give her a boost of confidence everyday even when she feels she's not doing her best. All she wants is a nice, soft bed to lay her sweet head on, lots of toys, treats, lots and lots of love and of course-YOU!! Just be patient with her and let her sweet personality shine brighter than any star! She will be the greatest pup you have known and loved. Ethel is current on vaccines, she is spayed and micro chipped. She will be heart worm tested upon adoption. She will be patiently waiting for you in Run 315 and her ID is 637370.

Please note, all of the pet listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers, not shelter staff. If this pet came in as lost (not an owner surrender), we don't know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, names are oftentimes made up by volunteers.

This pet and many others are available for adoption from the Cobb County Animal Shelter 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, call (770) 499-4136 for more information. Shelter hours are: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. by appointment only until further notice, CLOSED Mondays & Holidays.
