My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

FOSTERED IN: Chicago, IL 60634
ESTIMATED DOB: 04/13/2022
COLOR/BREED: Tabby Shorthair
KIDS: Likely
DOGS: Yes
CATS: Yes

HISTORY:
Maverick came to us from a suburban animal control facility.

ABOUT:
Maverick is fearless, athletic, and playful, but also sweet and affectionate. She is happy to meet new people and try new things. She loves to be held and snuggled, until there is some action, then she can’t help herself and has to go check it out. There won’t be a boring or lonely moment when Maverick is around. She loves to sneak up behind you and pounce when she thinks you aren’t watching, then when you turn around to look at her she uses her big kitten eyes to convince you to play with her or love on her. She loves to rub noses with people.

Maverick is a pro at the “Cat Fishing 2” app for your phone or ipad. She loves toys so much that sometimes she gets so excited that her tail puffs up! She loves shoelaces and headbands and other things that aren’t really “toys.” She also loves some good rough-and-tumble play with her siblings.

Maverick is not being fostered in a home with children but because she is very adaptable and friendly we think she will do well in homes with children. Maverick has done well with the resident cats in a previous foster home. She is very playful with her siblings, but is respectful of the older cats’ preferences. She has been fostered with large and small breed dogs and is curious but cautious at first. She will do just fine in homes with cat-friendly dogs.

If you think this well rounded, curious, and loyal kitten is a great fit for your family the first step in our adoption process is to fill out our adoption application. More information and our adoption application can be found at www.luluslockerrescue.org.
