My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello world, I'm Sansa!
I'm the best dancer you've ever seen. My tail wags to the beat of my heart, and my paws tap out a rhythm all their own.
Playtime is my favorite time of day. I love to chase after toys, solve puzzles, and show off my smarts.
My friends say I have the biggest smile they've ever seen. It's impossible not to grin from ear to ear whenever my beloved volunteers pay me a visit.
I yearn for a family who shares my passion for playtime and boogieing. The thought of being adopted brings a sense of joy that would surely keep a permanent smile on my face! Someone who appreciates a good tail wag and a huge smile. I promise to fill your life with laughter, love, and lots of dance parties.
Adopt me and let's cha-cha-cha our way to a happy life together!

More about this shelter

The Allegany County Animal Shelter serves as the municipal shelter for Allegany County and is located at 716 Furnace Street in Cumberland. For many years, the shelter served as the final destination for nearly 85% of the animals that entered it. In late 2010, a group of passionate citizens led the charge to change the nature of the shelter with a goal of doing as much as possible for every animal, every day. It was the first step on the journey to becoming A Shelter of Hope.
