My story

My name is Alba. As you can see from my photo, I am/have stunning ice crystal blue eyes, a pink nose, and white, soft fur. I am husky/shepard mix. I’m approximately 4 years old, 40 pounds, and love eating doggie cookies. The most important thing to know about me is I love playing with other dogs and do great in playgroups at dog parks and boarding kennels. I also LOVE, LOVE, LOVE little children and human social interactions. I’m a HUGE lovebug and love everything. I do like to chase outdoor small animals (cats too) so I prefer to use my leash/harness to keep me with my human. I am not a lover of water (baths, bodies of water, or the garden hose). I am crate trained but prefer to sleep on my dog beds and/or my human child.
Since you’re reading this, you’re obviously looking for a new best friend—and, hey, so am I! I don’t care how old you are or what you look like, but in case those things matter to you, my perfect match would be someone who loves going for walks, playing in the backyard, and gives me bountiful tummy rubs. I also love going for car rides for the fun of it. I don’t mean to brag, but people tell me I’m a lot like Jessica Alba because I have stunning blue eyes and am completely devoted to those I love. When I’m not admiring your every move, I’d love to be playing with my rope toy (tag-a-war please) or being with my human. So, what do you say?  Wanna be besties?

More about this shelter

Wynne Friends of Animals came into existence when it learned that the City of Wynne was euthanizing over 800 dogs per year. The city pound was just a dumping place with horrible conditions. Funds were raised and money borrowed to build a new animal shelter which is solely run by donations, grants, etc. Since the opening of this shelter, we have decreased the euthanasia rate by 75 percent. We do it to help God's creatures and for the love of the animals. Our website and our Facebook page have testimonials, additional information, our list of adoptable dogs and more.
