My story

Meet Denira!! This sweet senior gal is 8 years old, weighs 55 pounds, and is a pittie mix.

Denira found herself in a shelter do to no fault of her own. Here is what the volunteers said about her:

“Denira is a sweet-natured, compliant dog who came in on a cruelty case. She has a healthy amount of energy and acts (and looks!) younger than the age listed. She has exhibited some stress in her kennel, but showed no reaction around new dogs and was easy to handle. She loves treats, does an excellent "sit," and craves affection after being mistreated most of her life. She is a healthy, alert, sweet dog who will needs some help with basic manners from a foster or adopter. She would make a great addition to any family who is willing to put a little time into working with her.”

Denira has gone through and completed Heartworm treatment and is an absolute joy since being in foster. She loves other pals, and when she was in the shelter had to stop at every kennel on her walk and say hello, even giving kisses through the kennel door. Denira is not tested with cats or kids.
