My story

Sploot is my name, and having fun is my game! Running, romping, tugging on toys, I want to do it all! I am an approximately 7-month-old Terrier mix, which means along with my love of activity I will also gladly eat your leftover hamburgers and chili cheese dogs. I am very affectionate and have a happy outlook on life. I enjoy the company of other dogs and would do better with no kitties in the home (although if you have a dog-confident kitty who won't let me bug them all the time, it could work! Just need a kitty to put me in my place). I am making great progress at housetraining and am good about signaling when I need to go outside. My foster mom says I could use more practice on a leash and in the kennel, but am a smart cookie who knows how to go in the kennel when told, but will cry if I can see you while in the kennel. I've had no aggressive behaviors at all, but can be a typical Pittie and be a little clingy at times. I am the snuggliest boy and sleep through the night on my foster mom's bed! I need someone who can spend lots of time playing and running around with me. I have a lot of energy and would love someone who wants to make being my parent the most important thing on their resume! If you're looking for the goodest of boys whose ready to learn and grow with their new person, I'm the right companion for you!  If you're interested, email your phone number to  rockcityrescue@gmail.com  for more info! I come to you neutered, heartworm negative, and with age-appropriate vaccinations.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All animals 3 months or older must be sterilized prior to adoption. There is an adoption contract that is signed once an adopter had been approved for an adoption. There is no fee to apply for a dog, but adoption fees vary from dog to dog. Currently, this rescue is run by one person and a lot of foster homes. We have full-time jobs like everyone else, so please be patient with us while we return your calls and emails. 99% of the time, we return emails within 24-48 hours.

More about this rescue

We are committed to rescuing and rehoming dogs and cats who have been abandoned or lost. We pull dogs from high kill shelters to help them be united with loving forever home, as well as help rehome animals found as strays and help families rehome their own pets they can no longer care for.
