My story

Everyone's favorite goofy girl Frankie says ha! I'm not just clumsy! The vet says I have cerebellar hypoplasia but don't be sad! It doesn't hurt, and I won't get worse. It just makes me a special girl looking for a special home.

Cerebellar hypoplasia means part of Frankie's brain stem didn't didn't develop enough. It affects her balance and coordination. She has been living with it her whole life and it doesn't keep her from living a fulfilling life at all. She can run and play with the other dogs and she is the most cheerful creature you'll ever meet. Generally she sometimes stumbles or steps off edges, she has occasional head bobbing motions, and she tends to hold her back legs wider apart than is usual. This is not a degenerative condition and the Frankie you meet today is the Frankie she will continue to be. It is not painful and she can be expected to have a normal lifespan.

Frankie loves to play with other dogs, she would do well in a home with other canine companions. She has been cat neutral so far. She adores humans! Strangers are just friends she hasn't met yet. She is slightly awkward as if her legs aren't all original factory parts and her tongue is frequently out. She is a bit odd and beyond lovable.

Frankie is an 8 month old mixed breed, predominantly Staffie and Rottweiler. She is dewormed, microchipped, vaccinated, spayed, and ready to be odd and lovable with her forever family. She is currently in Tricities Washington.

Additional adoption info

We take applications, do home checks, adoptions are only final when the dog/puppy has received all shots and been spayed/neutered and micro chipped. We guarantee our dogs/puppies are a good fit or we take them back. We'll need time to arrange a foster for them because another dog will fill their spot after 1 week. All adopters must comply with any requirements from city, county or home owners association. Adopters agree to never perform body modifications such as ear cropping, tail docking unless medically necessary. Our adoption fees can be found at thepitbullpen.org

Go meet their pets

We participate in local adoption events throughout the year. We are also available by appointment We are transitioning to a facility and will post regular days and hours once we are complete.
