My story

Hi there! My name is Sadie. I've been waiting for my forever home for a little while and I'm not sure why...I'm the cutest and sweetest dog ever! I can be a little shy when you first meet me because I like to take my time to get to know you. Once I do, we will be pals for life! I am getting used to the sights and sounds of the big city so I appreciate your patience and positive reinforcement (and treats!). I’m 3 years old, 65 lbs, and love cuddles and kisses so please give me lots of belly rubs. I’ve been living in a foster home with a dog and cat. I thrive when there is another confident dog in the house! Let's talk about toys...Love 'em, gotta have 'em! I am a toy aficionado and love collecting all toys and moving them to my crate. I love meal times and look forward to breakfast and dinner everyday! I will lay at your feet while you are working during the day because I love my naps in my crate or on my dog bed. My foster mom says I'm the perfect work co-worker. Did I mention that I am housebroken? I hope you would like to meet me - because I can’t wait to meet you!

Why adoption is a great option

Sadie, a Jersey City Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Australian Shepherd for sale in Jersey City, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Jersey City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jersey City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jersey City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jersey City paves the way for another one to be saved.
