Tyson can't see why he hasn't been adopted yet!! Even though he is partially blind; he loves playing, he gets around really well, and his "difference" makes him even that more special! Even if it makes him a little clumsy at times, it is very endearing. He still enjoys all normal activities liking going for walks with his furry siblings and romping and playing in the yard. RHis eye doctor thinks he can see shadows but not clear images.
BONUS: Tyson can't see that 50% of his adoption fee is being paid for by a kind sponsor but you can - only $125 to adopt sweet, special Typson! Are you one who roots for the underdog?
Tyson has a gentle soul and likes to snuggle up next to you. Couch potato, lounger, dog bed crasher are all attributes he displays proudly! While he may be a little bit on the lazy side, he is a great companion and LOVES to be around his people and loves to get pets and scratches. He is a little shy/timid around new people but warms up to them in a quick minute.
He likes to follow his foster mom around the house while she talks to him, so he knows where she’s going. When his foster mom is busy, he loves hanging around with his gal pal dog. She unwittingly serves as his eyes and leads him around the house and yard. He loves all the furry friends that come and go in his foster mom's house.
He enjoys being outside. A yard with a fence would be best for Tyson as it's easier for him than going on daily walks. He prefers a quiet home as he gets nervous when there’s a lot going on. Little kids are too unpredictable, loud, busy for his comfort, but he’s good with older kids/teenagers. He could be adopted as an only dog or into a family with furry siblings, but admittedly, having at least one other low-key, friendly dog is probably best. No male dogs for him—he is a ladies’ man all the way. Staying in touch with his hound-y side, he is not a fan of cats either.
DOB 09/30/2016; 62lb hound mix. Even though he is a little older, he still loves soft toys, squeaky toys, stuffed toys and he shares them easily. He, also, loves meal time...yum yum! Going on car rides with his family is a favorite activity.
As part of Tyson's 50% reduced $125 (standard $250) adoption fee, he is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet boy, you can email Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org. If you wish to adopt Tyson, you can fill in an online application for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website: www.pawsforlifenc.org
