My story

Hello, thank you for stopping and reading about Paul. He lost his human and is looking for a new forever family. If you are interested in adopting Paul please review our adoption process and criteria and then complete our adoption application at www.gunterslegacy.org/adopt

Paul has had a sad past but we are hoping to make his future brighter. His owner was not allowed to have dogs and she had five dogs. When neighbors reported her management gave her an option to keep two as long as she paid a deposit.  She gave 3 away including Paul.  This poor boy was absolutely terrified and he hide under his cot bed for weeks.  He slowly started to trust his foster and she has been amazing. Paul learned he was safe quickly after that and his foster mom says he is a great little dog. He has never shown any kind of aggression so he was easy to work with. He has some food issues but is easily deterred when fed alone. He initially had separation anxiety but has greatly improved as he felt safe and secure. He is ok being away from his foster now and ok when left alone.  His personality is finally coming out and he will be a wonderful addition to the right family.

Paul has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.  He weighs about 9 pounds. He is color grey and white. He had bit of separation  anxiety at first, but he has gained good confidence and has much improved. He is ok to be in a different room from his foster now (except when it is time to eat)  and he is able to be left alone. Although he would much rather go with :)
