My story

Meet Jackson!

Jackson is a five year old bully breed mix. He's a snuggly baby who loves people and other dogs.

Jackson is currently in a foster home, and here's what his foster had to say about him:

" Jackson the dog has been having a blast these past few weeks. He was a little shy but very sweet at first, but he's definitely made himself at home. He listens so well. He sits, shakes, lays down, and walks wonderfully on his leash. He loves to play with tennis balls and is always ready for some fun, or he's good just cuddling and watching TV. He adores my kids, and gets so excited when we're all home together. "

Here is what his sleepover foster had to say about him:
"We did a sleepover with Jackson and omg, he is the sweetest dog we’ve ever met!! Absolutely perfect gentleman! No accidents in the house, gentle with the whole family, great on leash, and super chill. I was nervous about giving him a bath but he did awesome. When we went on a walk, he spotted a dog and was interested but we were able to easily redirect his attention back to us with treats"

Why adoption is a great option

Jackson, a Elk Grove American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Elk Grove, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Elk Grove.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elk Grove already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elk Grove breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elk Grove paves the way for another one to be saved.
