My story

Chippy was caught living in a feral colony, likely dumped. He didn't trust humans at first and is still a little shy at first, but has settled in fantastically in his foster home. He LOVES other nice cats, especially females. His best friend right now is a blue female called Pandora. Chippy is very chill and relaxed. He will want a home that matches his calm energy, so we don't recommed dogs or young children. This big fluffy boy came with some missing teeth, so we have done a full dental done on him this month.

Chippy has Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. This means that his people must keep him healthy because his immune system is compromised. He can be around other nice cats, but not mean ones. FIV is only contagious through intercourse or deep bite wounds.

All Feline Matchmakers cats get age appropriate vaccinations, fixed, tested and microchipped prior to adoption. Please fill in our application via this link: http://www.felinematchmakers.org.

We only adopt kittens and young cats out within a one hour radius of Wilmington, NC. Occasionally we make exceptions for adult cats, but we are not a transport company.

IF YOU DO NOT MEET THESE GUIDELINES, YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE REJECTED.

More about this rescue

Faith McNitt started Feline Matchmakers in January of 2020. We are a small organization that focuses on owner surrenders. The larger organizations focus on shelter pulls, so we feel this is the most needed service in Wilmington, NC. We also work TNR cases in small numbers. We are looking for fosters to build our organization. All fosters work on a charity basis, as we do not yet have the funding to pay for anything other than medical expenses. If interested in joining us to save cats from being euthenized or put in shelters, please contact us.
