My story

Have you ever wanted to pet a Black Bear? You shouldn't. You can pet Fluffy though, and that's almost the same thing.

Fluffy is a senior rottweiler mix. He's low-key and prefers naps and slow walks. He LOVES to be brushed and pet. Anyone at the shelter can tell you that his snuggles are top-notch.

He's doesn't like rambunctious dogs, but is happy to co-exist with other neutral dogs. He came to us a stray, so we don't know about his past. He hasn't been around cats, but we think he could live with one after a proper introduction.

Fluffy is house-trained, walks well on leash, and isn't reactive towards people or other dogs.

Why adoption is a great option

Fluffy, a Elk Grove Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler for sale in Elk Grove, or seeking a Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Elk Grove.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elk Grove already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elk Grove breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler breeders who help with Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elk Grove paves the way for another one to be saved.
