My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Eenie, Meenie, Miney, Mo... which puppy will you pick?? These ADORABLE little babies are small breed - we believe Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier mixes - and are expected to be 12-20 pounds when full grown.

This litter is dog-friendly but people-focused; they love being held and cuddled and are the perfect size for a lap! They do like children but due to the nippy nature of young puppies, they may not be a good fit for families with children under the age of 5. In addition, they are both tiny and fast moving so have the potential to be fuzzy little trip hazards!

Eeenie and Meenie are sweet and affectionate girls who are often seen playing and exploring together. Miney is the "class clown" of the bunch - she has personality for days and does not hesitate to express her opinions! And Mo is the independent little brother... he prefers to let his more adventurous sisters take the lead in investigating new items or places.

These puppies can go to their forever homes after they recover from their spay/neuter on July 11. At that point they will be eating 4 times a day – every 4 hours – and will not be potty trained! Adopters should expect that this litter will need to go potty every 1-2 hours throughout the day (at less than 5 pounds, they have some small bladders!) with a longer stretch at night, but should expect to be up at least one a night for bathroom needs!

Due to the high level of care and attention a newborn puppy needs, their foster will be looking for a home where someone is there most of the time, and the puppy will not be left alone for more than 3 hours at a time.

Even if you have a favorite, please be open to meeting the entire litter… their foster feels that often a puppy chooses their person, or there might be an in-person “love match” with a puppy that was different that the one you may have had in mind.
