My story

PUPPY “Dawson” is the happiest, sweetest, precious little baby boy! He absolutely loves to be with you and do whatever you are doing. He loves to cuddle and curl up on your lap or next to you. He and his brother love to play, and Dawson’s favorite is tug of war, rope toys, and kong balls. He loves to drink water, and will sometimes go and sit in the baby pool with his brother. He is a silly, gentle love who is absolutely wonderful with our kids, loves to follow around his foster's big 80 pound dog and their cats. He is a smart, sweet pup who is happiest by your side.
This adorable puppy and a few of his siblings need homes!!! We rescued a mama and her babies recently from horrific conditions, and now these little cuties are looking for forever homes! Born around April 26th, these pups are “Chesadors,” a wonderful combination of Mama being a Chesapeake Bay Retriever and Daddy a Labrador. Are you ready to make one of these adorable pups part of your family?

Why adoption is a great option

Dawson, a Jay Chesapeake Bay Retriever/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chesapeake Bay Retriever/Labrador Retriever for sale in Jay, or seeking a Chesapeake Bay Retriever/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Jay.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jay already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jay breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chesapeake Bay Retriever/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Chesapeake Bay Retriever/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jay paves the way for another one to be saved.
