My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

She weighs 100 lbs and is 2 yrs old.

Shelbee came into the county shelter, as an 8 week old puppy, on 2/12/2020. She was an owner surrender because she was too much for an older couple to manage. She was quickly adopted. As she grew she developed problems with her knees and had cruciate surgery on both knees by the time she was 2 ½ years old. She now has no physical limitations.

She would be happy to go hiking, or do activities like scent work or rally.

Shelbee is housebroken, crate trained, and she has been good with large dogs and the household cat. She can exhibit small prey drive with small fluffy dogs.

Shelbee walks nicely on lead, knows commands and is a very sweet and loving dog. She, also, loves to wallow in the creek and in shallow water.

Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies.

Your Current Pets - We do require that all of your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.

Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a homecheck prior to adoption.

Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.
