My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Champ is an active pup with a mischievous streak, it's a good thing he's so cute! He is very curious, rambunctious and loves to play. He’ll tackle whichever dog is closest and wrestle as long as they'll tolerate him. He learned his name within a couple weeks and is doing well with potty training, but needs a firm schedule to get him fully trained once he's in his new home. Champ will need plenty of toys to keep him focused on so he learns not to chew on things he shouldn't (put those shoes away, or they're fair game!). This boy is full throttle unless he's sleeping, so he will need to have an energetic owner willing to keep him busy and take him on lots of adventures!

Requirements to adopt Champ: Home ownership preferably with a fenced yard (or an acreage or farm); no apartment. Champ is a herding breed, thus it is in his nature to want to 'herd' moving creatures the direction he wants them to go, little kids included. If you are parents of young children and are not prepared for 'herd nipping', we ask that you please consider another breed of dog. Check our list of available dogs who are not herding breeds who are better suited for families with children.

Champ is a growing Australian Shepherd/mix pup, born approximately 4-20-22. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventive, dewormed and started on heartworm preventative. Adoption fee is $550 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. If interested in adopting one of our available dogs or puppies, you must first complete an online adoption application at https://dollyslegacyanimalrescue.org/adopt/ You will be contacted by our adoption coordinator via email after your application has been reviewed & approved to schedule an appointment. Our website is updated daily, pets that are listed are still available.

***If you are serious about adopting, you must first complete and submit an application on our website. Our Adoption Team will respond via email from DollysLegacyAdoptions@gmail.com once you have completed an application. If a pet is still listed, it is not yet adopted as we update daily. All information regarding adoption policies are on our website***
