I found Charlie walking down the middle of the road, happy as can be. We called Animal services who scanned and said there was no chip, and no report of anyone looking for him. He was matted pretty badly, looking like he had been out for a few weeks. We took him to the vet, got him up to date on shots, and to be groomed. Vet puts him about two years old, and 15 lbs.
My suspicion is that he was a puppy mill dog that never got adopted. He doesn't like walking on the grass, and stays on the road when walked. He also reacted very badly to kennel training, and needs to be house trained. He's friendly, and always runs to greet anyone who comes in the door, wanting to be picked up. He needs someone experienced to train him. He gets along with my dog, but my dog doesn't get along with him.
