My story

We have new kittens back from our vet, and ready for adoption! Their momma is here too! She’s spayed and also ready for adoption!

This family was discovered in town, living under an abandoned trailer which was about to be demolished. Thankfully their rescuer found them in time and contacted us!

Momma is a short hair Torti, named Lovey. She has 5 kittens, but only 3 are ready for adoption. We will post the 2 boys when they come back from the vet.

These 3 girls are:

Mystery - Short hair, female, dilute calico

Velma - Short hair black frosted female. She has an umbilical hernia which will be repaired when she’s spayed.

Daphne - Short hair, female Torti.

All of these kittens are feline leukemia/FIV negative, have had their first kitten vaccines, are fecal negative, wormed and treated for fleas. Their DOB is estimated to be 4/6/2022. Their spay, and the balance of their kitten vaccines, and rabies vaccine is included in our adoption plan. This includes Velma’s hernia repair too.

Lovey the momma, is negative for feline leukemia/FIV, has been spayed, has 1 remaining set of vaccines, is fecal negative, and treated for fleas and worms. Her DOB is estimated to be 5/2021. The balance of her vaccines are included in our adoption plan.

Please fill out an adoption application for these sweeties!

Why adoption is a great option

Daphne, a Ashland Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Ashland, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Ashland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ashland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ashland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ashland paves the way for another one to be saved.
