My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Riggs is located in Big Sandy, TX living the good life and enjoying all the love and attention he can handle. We saved Riggs after some residents reached out about a stray dogo roaming around that needed help. Soon we learned that he is Heartworm Positive unfortunately but he will undergo treatment with us and get the best care possible Riggs is such a good boy and friendly to everyone he meets. He was a charmer at the vet and tends to steal the hearts of everyone he meets! He is good in the car and just an all around easy dogo!

This amazing boy would love a chill home willing to give him all sorts of attention and take him places to get even more quality time with his people. His foster mom has zero complaints about him and can't even think of why anyone would leave him abandoned. He is just perfect!

Riggs will be available towards the end of August as he finishes up heartworm treatment. Please apply now if you are interested in this perfect male who would be a good first time dogo parent!

Dogos are a wonderful breed but we urge anyone interested to dig in and do a lot of research before
deciding if they are a good fit for your home. They require a lot of attention and training with them
never ends! Boundaries must be enforced and they often need reminders as they push past boundaires
you set! Dogos are loving, kind and gentle but don't mistake that for weakness because they are equally
powerful and intense as well! Everyone in the home must be on board with having a dogo and play a
major role in their daily routines and training. Yes it is work, but the rewards are ten-fold! Lazy homes
don't work for dogos as they need stimulation, exercise, and lots of attention too during their younger
years. Our goal in rescue is to be as transparent as we can about each and every dog plus make sure new
families really understand the needs of a dogo!
