My story

Hi there! My name is FLETCHER. What’s yours? Nice to meet ya! I am in Houston, TX. WATCH MY VIDEO:
https://youtu.be/_7_l_lpedIA

A nice person came along and took me in. I am ready to hit the road to your house! Uh, make that “our” house, OK? I definitely need a house with a fenced-in yard cuz I need room to run and romp and be safe! The rescue requires (1) a securely fenced-in yard (5-6 feet tall) and (2) an Excellent, already-established vet HISTORY on a current or previous dog. We would call your vet once you have filled out an application. You don't have to produce vet records beforehand.

I am a HUSKY mix. I am 3 YEARS old and I weigh 60 pounds. I have been neutered and am up to date on vaccines so I'm ready to go to my new home with YOU!! Those funny-looking 2-legged creatures said I’m also microchipped – whatever THAT is. At any rate, I am fully vetted. Is that anything close to petted? I love to be petted and loved on!

Wanna hear some more good stuff about me? OK, here goes. I like all people, adults and children, and other dogs. If you have another medium to large dog, that would be great. BUT, if you don't have a doggie sibling for me, that's quite alright. Also, I am house-trained using a doggie door. Good, huh?

If you have human kiddos, they need to be 12 and up because I am a strong and active boy and I might accidentally topple a toddler without meaning to, of course!

Will you teach me all the things a young doggie needs to know to be safe and happy? I take treats nicely and I ride nicely in a car. Can I drive, huh, can I?

Since I was rescued, I like to take naps when I'm tired from playing. I need love, exercise and couch-sitting when we get tired! Let's be a team, OK?

If you would like to take me home (and you know you do), please email doggydarlings12@gmail.com and they can get me on my way to a new and loving home! My adoption fee is $450 and includes my transportation from Houston, TX, vetting, neutering, and a microchip.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption fees vary from $50 - $650 (depending on the size of each dog) to fly your dog to the nearest airport that (1) has a direct flight from Houston, TX and (2) can accommodate the size travel crate your dog would fly in. If there is no direct flight, then we do have to schedule flights with layovers. We only use United Airlines because of their PetSafe Program. They are the only airline equipped to fly dogs in year-round weather conditions. The dogs get the same air and heat as in the passenger cabin.

More about this rescue

We rescue dogs from the streets of Houston, TX, vet them, recuperate them from health problems, bring them to full health and then work very hard to get them adopted out-of-state. Houston, TX has over ONE MILLION stray dogs. Thousands of perfectly healthy dogs, along with sick and dying dogs that are picked up, are euthanized every single day. Houston, TX is saturated with dogs. Everyone who WANTS a dog HAS a dog. We can only save lives by getting dogs out of our region. We have found the very best adopters in the Northeast and Northwest U. S. and Canada.
