My story

Jasper came to the shelter with 4 other dogs who were abandoned by their owner. All have been adopted except for Jasper. He was initially shy and scared because the dogs were undersocialized. He has definitely blossomed and is now a very friendly, happy boy. He does get along with other dogs, but he needs to be fed separately because he likes to eat all the food . He does walk well on a leash. We will cat test if needed. He is UTD with shots, dewormed and heartworm negative. We will neuter and microchip him.

More about this shelter

Washington Wilkes Animal Shelter is a small, open door shelter. We strive to save every adoptable animal that is surrendered, orphaned, abandoned, abused and neglected. All animals are spayed/neutered at time of adoption, vaccinated. All dogs are heartworm tested/treated at time of adoption.

All procedures administered to the shelter animals are funded solely on donations. We are in constant need of monetary donations to continue the vetting of these animals.
