My story

Obi is such a sweet, social, outgoing, and playful boy. His confidence is quite impressive and we think he would do great in an active home. Oberon is very interactive and prefers to be close by his people. He is a dog-like cat and will explore unusual territory or noises to make sure his home is safe. Obi can play a bit rough with other cats so we think he would do better as a single cat. However, Obi does like dogs so a cat friendly and preferably playful dog would be a good buddy for him. He has a tendency to get overstimulated so an adult only household or older children would be best. If you are looking for a special companion kitty with a ton of personality, Obi is definitely that guy.September 27, 2022, 4:30 am

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

CCHS has animals available for adoption through a number of different avenues. Many of our kittens and all dogs are cared for in loving foster homes until they are adopted. Teenage, adult, senior and special-needs cats reside at Kitty Corner, an on-site, private cat shelter where cats are allowed to free-roam at all times, lounge in sunny windows and on comfy cat towers, and play to their heart's galore. Similarly, we also have animals available for adoption through our Re-Homing Assistance Program, where we help to advertise animals that caregivers are no longer able to keep. If you are interested in meeting any of the animals listed on our website, please complete an adoption application unless otherwise noted! Adoption fees are: Kittens under 6mo: $130 ($200 for two) Cats over 6mo: $90 ($150 for two) Puppies under 6mo: $225 Dogs over 6mo: $175

Go meet their pets

Our business office and Kitty Corner are located at 171 Mayhew Way, Suite 101 in Pleasant Hill, CA 94523. Kitty Corner houses adult, senior, and special-needs cats (sometimes teenage kittens). Kitty Corner is open for adoptions on Saturday, Sunday & Monday from 12-3pm or during the week (preferably by appointment to make sure someone's available to show you the cats). All of our dogs, puppies and kittens are located off-site in foster homes and can be met by appointment once adoption applications have been received and approved.
