Looking for a companion?
Duncan is a lab/basenji mix 2 year old. The lab side of him is gentle with children and loves people. The Basenji side of him is intelligent, independent and a sighthound which means hunt and chase. Because of this, we do not recommend a home with cats. He is medium energy level he can chill out on the couch but he also gets spurts of energy and likes to play. Duncan is toy possessive so we recommend a home where he is the only dog. Duncan uses the doggy door and is house trained. He walks well on a leash, but will pull when he sees squirrels or cats. Duncan is protective of his family so he would be a great companion for a single person or family. He is crate trained and does well on car rides. Duncan would thrive in a home with an active owner and where he is the only pet in the home. Apartment or house would be well suited for him. Duncan's adoption fee is waived but will require a home visit to ensure its the right fit. He has had a vet exam, neuter, rabies vaccine, bordatella vaccine, distemper vaccine, flea meds and microchip.
