My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gypsy is a great girl. Very eager to please her humans! She is housebroken, crate trained and walks well on a leash. She needs to be introduced to new dogs slowly, but then is fine. She loves to explore outside and play fetch. She has had manners training and sits for everything, knows stay, come, sit and down. She loves learning new games and using her brain to figure things out. She is a love bug/goofball that wants nothing more than to spend time with her people.

Sammy's Strays adoption radius is 90 miles from Westchester County, NY. Emails sent via Adopt a Pet application are not always monitored. More about this rescue

Sammy's Strays is a small rescue group in Northern Westchester County NY. We are a 501c3 non-profit. We rescue animals in need -- locally and from down South -- and find them loving homes. We are 100% foster based, relying on the care and kindness of our foster homes to keep us going.

Our rescue dogs and cats live in loving foster homes until they are adopted. We cover all necessary medical expenses until the date of adoption. All dogs/cats are spayed/neutered (if age appropriate); receive age appropriate vaccinations, deworming, heart worm prevention preventative, flea/tick prevention and a microchip.
