My story

Isn’t he the cutest? Look at those ears and his cute smooshed snout. Cody, an adorable 2 year old Bulldog mix that was brought to the shelter as a stray. Cody has a great personality that is friendly, fun, and well mannered. He walks well on a leash and seems like he will get along with other dogs, although he has not been tested yet. Cody enjoys playing in the dog parks and getting attention from anyone he meets. Cody is a keeper for sure so adopt Cody!

Cody’s adoption fee is $100.00 and this includes sterilization, shots, and worming with an optional microchipping and registration for an additional $20.00. We have a dog park to check compatibility with existing dogs. Fill out an adoption application at heberspringshumanesociety.com. If your application is approved, a volunteer will contact you to set up a meet and greet appointment. The adoption application is NOT on Adopt a Pet You must apply on our shelter website.

Why adoption is a great option

Cody, a Heber Springs Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bulldog for sale in Heber Springs, or seeking a Bulldog dog from a breeder in Heber Springs.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Heber Springs already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Heber Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bulldog breeders who help with Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Heber Springs paves the way for another one to be saved.
