My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Panda is a sweet, calm, lovable girl who is about 5 years old. She gets along well with other dogs and her current foster home has another large dog. She is laid back and would do well with another laid back, calm, or submissive dog. Or she would be just fine being the only dog and soaking up all of your love.

Panda is shy when first meeting new people but after she warms up, she is ready to snuggle up next to you. Once she is fully comfortable, her favorite place to be is laying next to you, or even on top of you, on the couch. She also enjoys laying completely underneath the blankets.

Panda walks very well on a leash and enjoys going for daily walks. Her favorite thing to do is fetch frisbees in the backyard!! When you leave the house she can be left out and won't get into anything she shouldn't. She takes treats so gently and knows her commands such as sit, down, and stay.

Panda was not treated nicely by the children in her previous home and due to that, they make her very uncomfortable. She cannot be in a home with children under 16 years of age. We know this is unfortunate but we want her to be successful in her furever home.

Panda is THE sweetest gal and once she gets to know you she will love and adore you unconditionally!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We require each applicant to complete an adoption application, followed by a home visit. We also contact personal and veterinarian references. We want to make sure that the next home our furbabies go to, is their last, and that they will be loved like a member of the family.

Go meet their pets

We are a foster based rescue, but do also have a small shelter. You can contact us at diamondunderdogs@yahoo.com to setup an appointment to come out and check out some of our adoptables.

More about this rescue

Diamonds in the Ruff Animal Rescue is a non profit animal rescue organization that is run by a dedicated group of volunteers. Our mission is to protect the welfare of animals, one life at a time, from unnecessary euthanasia. From high kill shelters to foster homes to caring adoptive families, Diamonds in the Ruff handles every aspect of the rescue process. Our animals are examined, vaccinated, spayed or neutered and receive necessary medical treatment. Foster homes are used to provide sanctuary and ensure a successful placement. Our goal is to make the adoption process a kind, informative and rewarding experience because we believe that every animal can become a treasured family pet.

Why we do it:
4 million animals are euthanized each year in the United States.
That is 300,000 a month
Over 11,000 each day
Diamonds in the Ruff Animal Rescue works tirelessly to decrease this statistic.
