Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bowie is about a year and a half old, and was originally a TNR kitty who saw all the appeal of a pampered indoor life. On one freezing day this past winter, he walked into the basement and back into a cage. He was originally kept in the kitten room, taking care of 6 sick babies and learning to trust us. When he graduated to the rest of the house, he was still scared, but slowly learned he didn't have to hide, and made himself at home. While he's the most muscular cat I've ever seen, he's timid, and very gentle. He gets along extremely well with all of the kitties and our dog. His happiest times are playing with others and sleeping by a window, so he'd do best in another home with cats. He mostly prefers being where the family is congregated or with other kitties on the bed, and loves getting pet and brushed, but is not a lap cat. He will need patience and time to adjust to a new home, but is well worth the wait. All cats are at least 8 weeks old at time of adoption, are spayed/neutered, FeLV/FIV tested, dewormed, microchipped, vaccinated (FVRCP and rabies - if at least 16 wks old), and given a starter dose of flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Adoption fee applies. Adoption application, interview, and home check required to be considered for adoption. No declawing policy and indoor homes only. If interested, please apply at www.rescueangelssomd.com. If pet is listed, he/she is still available.
