My story

Look at that face! It has to be said that Sammy is a handsome Lad! Just 10 months old, and 68 Lbs, Sammy is a happy, sporty boy who loves to play with his doggie pals, so he would be a joy to take to the beach or dog park. He is housetrained, crate trained, and best in an adult only home.  He knows  "sit"  "come" and "paw" in spanish. He loves his walks and is making good progress on his leash manners. He loves chew toys and anything that squeaks!
Sammy Lad might need a little time to get comfortable with you; but once you have his trust, he bonds easily and will become a fantastic and loving companion. This boy is intelligent and will thrive with ongoing training!
Do you think you have the perfect home for Sammy? If so, please let us know right away by filling out and submitting our adoption application so we can get to know you!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

SPOT adopts puppies less than 1 year- $450, dogs 1-8 yr- $300, 9 yr- $200. Our kittens are $150 up to 6 months. $125- 6 months to a year. $100 one year or older unless otherwise noted. We often have low pricing during kitten season. We ask you to complete an adoption application. A home check will be scheduled to be sure there are no inadvertent dangers in your home or yard. A meet and greet will be arranged so that your whole family can meet your new pet before adopting him/her. We want to make sure it is a good fit since it is a commitment for the animal’s lifetime.

Go meet their pets

All of the SPOT pets are in foster homes. To meet an animal, please fill out an adoption application by visiting our website at and clicking on "Applications". Someone will get in touch with you as soon as possible. We can also tell you when the next adoption event at a local pet store will be held, or we can set up a time to meet with you.

More about this rescue

SPOT was created to fill the need to save animals who “fall through the cracks” in our sheltering system. Local shelters are overwhelmed—they receive so many strays and owner turn-ins that they run out of space and have to kill thousands of animals each year. The majority of these animals are healthy and simply need to be placed into a home. Others are medical cases which require some work, but do not have life-threatening diseases or injuries. And a few have some moderate behavior issues; we work with specialists to correct these behaviors before finding them their forever home. The bottom line is SPOT can save these lives.
