DOB: 11/24/15
Pin is a territorial cat who ruled Rose Lane Farms and the neighboring lumber yard for the past three years. He’d greet visitors and welcome everyone except the occasional gopher or mouse. Protecting his turf led to a major injury and the realization he needed a better life. Now, fully recovered, he’s living with Farmer Lynne while looking for a home where he can rule and be loved. He is a very sweet soul and deserves a forever home as an “only” pet. And he needs to definitely be indoors because of his FIV+. FIV+ cats can live a long healthy life, Pin is a perfect example. Thank you for reading and your consideration.
He has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). FIV is not a big deal; given proper care and attention, an FIV+ cat will live the same lifespan as an FIV negative cat. The disease is extremely hard to transmit from cat to cat, requiring direct blood contact (typically from a deep puncture wound). It is not transmissable to humans. Click here for a basic FAQ about FIV. If you'd like to read a much more detailed and comprehensive FAQ about FIV, we recommend this site.
