My story

Meet Luca!! If there was ever a perfect dog he is it. Luca came to us as a stray malnourished, 20-plus pounds underweight, but happy-go-lucky and ever so loving. Surely he was lost. We posted him all over for months and not a single person came forth. How sad because in our area, his breed equals abandonment. 😔. His ears were cropped and a shit job at that so it's safe to assume he was not loved enough. Really who knows, we will most likely never know his story. What we do know is he is perfection. He thrives with everyone he meets because he loves all. Luca is a social butterfly. So a home with lots of people and other playful dogs would be awesome.

Luca is house and crate trained, up to date on all appropriate core vaccines including lepto, rabies, dewormed, fecal tested negative, microchipped, neutered, and on monthly heartworm flea/tick prevention.

Out of state adopters are welcome at the adopters expense. We do NOT ship and meet and greet are required before adoption unless you are a previous adopter.

Training is an ongoing process that needs to be worked on daily. New issues and opportunities arise daily that have to be addressed and or rewarded. Continued training is a must.

Adoption process information can be found on our website
www.animalhousesanctuary.org

Name your price adoption with a minimum required fee. The adoption fees varies. $285 unless there is a promo fee announced.

Additional adoption info

Completed applications MUST be Printed & Mailed via United States Postal Service. We are a volunteer-based rescue, meaning every person involved is doing their best. Taking time out of their busy day to best help provide proper daily maintenance care for every dog and/or cat in our care until the best match with a happy forever adopter is made. Normally our adoption application processing review may take 2 to 3 weeks give or take. If you are seeking same-day adoptions then AHS may not be the best fit for your needs. We do not agree with impulse adoption. Adopting any pet is a decision that should not be taken lightly nor made impulsively.

We are a foster-based all-volunteer program. We are not a government shelter facility nor are we open to the public. Our adoption process can take 2 to 3 weeks from the time you mail it in to the time that we reach out to you. If you are window shopping we are not the rescue for you. We are seeking committed adopters.
