My story

Oliver is the biggest mush! An absolute dream cat! He just loves attention and pets! He will push his head into your hand for more pets, all while purring away! Oliver was found in bad shape in Coney Island and nursed back to health. He has been in a cage for too long and really needs a new home to call his own!
Oliver is neutered, negative for fiv, positive for felv and up to date on vaccines. He needs no special treatment for his felv (leukemia) other than seeing a vet annually for check ups, remain indoors only and eat a high quality diet (as all cats should).

If you’d like to meet Oliver complete our adoption application here and write Tara as their rescuer

Thank you for thinking of a rescue animal in need of a loving home! Adopting one animal will help to open space for future furry-friends dreaming of forever homes!

All Brooklyn Animal Action cats and dogs are available to adopt, foster and foster-to-adopt.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Interested adopters first fill out an adoption application, after which they can visit our animals in their foster homes. If they would like to adopt and their application is approved, they then complete an adoption contract. We also ask for an adoption fee to help us continue our work.

Go meet their pets

Please email us at or contact the e-mail in the individual listing if you are interested in meeting one of our rescued animals. We hold Saturday adoption events at Unleashed by Petco in Park Slope and Petsmart on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn (check our website and Facebook page for more information) and have cats at Bushy Tails pet store in Bushwick and Petsmart.
