My story

Yoda, a 12-week-old male orange and white Domestic Long Hair kitten, is starting to look like a little lion with his chin beard! A spunky fellow, he tips the scales at 2 lbs. Yoda is being fostered with two other kittens by a family with a large dog; the two of them have become fast friends, happy to sit together at a window and watch the world go by. Yoda is smaller than his siblings, but small can be mighty! He plays, climbs, leaps, and cavorts until he falls asleep, preferably in the nearest lap. Snuggling and cuddling are favorite pastimes, especially while watching TV! Yoda is litter box trained and up to date on age-appropriate shots.

Why adoption is a great option

Yoda, a Pinehurst Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Pinehurst, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Pinehurst.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pinehurst already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pinehurst breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pinehurst paves the way for another one to be saved.
