My story

Meet Luna!

This little sweetheart is part of our Harry Potter themed litter. Bellatrix is her mom, so we know that she is at least half Australian Cattle Dog but we are unaware of what dad might be. We were surprised with this litter after rescuing Bellatrix from a high volume shelter in Alabama.

So far, Luna has been social and affectionate in her foster home. She socializes with other dogs daily and has been learning the basics of obedience, working for food, and also enjoys toys as well. She has been a natural at crate and potty training and should be a nice dog to transition into a family. Luna is smart, alert, and engaged. She will make a great companion for her future family.

Luna's adoption comes with two FREE weeks of Found Training Center's PupStart program and 50% off of all additional training services throughout her lifetime. Please contact brittney@caninesandcompany.org for more info on adopting Luna.

Why adoption is a great option

Luna, a Chicago Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
