Adopt Domino! He's a three-year-old Australian Cattledog/Pittie mix and he is ready to find his family. This active, playful boy loves fetch, and has a great time playing in the yard and enjoying nature. He also likes to splash around in the water at the beach like a true PNW pup! He is a very smart dog who enjoys learning, and will eagerly show off all his tricks in exchange for delicious dog-appropriate snacks; he is very treat motivated, and really blossoms with positive reinforcement training. Domino loves spending time with his people, and is quite a cuddly and smoochy fella with his friends. He has spent time in a KHS foster home and is a polite pup with good house manners, and he also rides well in the car. This sweet boy does great with his friends but can be nervous around people he doesn't know, so his ideal home would be a stand-alone house, with a fully fenced in yard so that he can enjoy his own private oasis. Domino needs to be the only dog in the house. He'd also do best with dog-savvy kids that are 16 and older. Domino may require two adoption meets with prospective adopters to ensure that the match is right - but trust us, Domino is worth the extra effort! In fact, we are waiving his adoption fee because we know he is beyond deserving of finding a loving home. If you're ready to add a bright and loyal BFF to your life, Domino is your guy. Come to the shelter and make an appointment to meet him!

More about this shelter
Kitsap Humane Society is a private, nonprofit animal shelter. We rescue and rehome over 6000 pets each year. Every dog or cat leaves our shelter spayed or neutered and with complete vaccines and a microchip. We have been caring for animals in need since 1908 and envision a time when all adoptable pets have loving homes.
We are extremely proud of our exceptionally high “lives saved” rate of over 96%. Through our active adoption, behavior, foster, transfer, and veterinary programs, we are able to rehome every adoptable animal that enters our facility. No animal is ever euthanized for lack of space.
In addition to caring for and adopting animals, we also provide spay/neuter services to low income residents of Kitsap County, and provide Animal Rescue and Enforcement services to our surrounding municipalities.
