My story

Rick is a feisty pup with amazing copper-colored eyes that complement his smooth, red coat. He has the personality to match his coloring. He looks like he could be a terrier-retriever mix. He loves, loves, loves people and is very affectionate.

Rick is highly interested in the outside world and enjoys his walks. He's doing very well with leash training. He does have a prey drive and will do best in a home without small animals. Rick will do great with basic puppy obedience training. He's active and responsive. He'll give you love and kisses. He's also very trusting and will suddenly throw himself to the ground, seeking a good belly rub. He may possibly do well with cats.

Rick is looking for a home with a fenced yard to run and children in the home should be at least 7 years old.

He is up to date on shots, heart worm negative, micro-chipped and neutered.

Why adoption is a great option

Rick, a Elmwood Park Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Elmwood Park, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Elmwood Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elmwood Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elmwood Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elmwood Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
