My story

Hi. My name is Rosie. I am a border collie mix. Aren’t I just the cutest? I am around a year old and currently weigh about 40 pounds. I am good with kids, cats, dogs - well, with just everyone. I love to play. My foster mom says I am very affectionate. I love my foster parents but am really hoping for a forever home to settle into. My fee is $150.

If you are interested in Rosie, please visit www.pawscare.org, and click on the online application. We require the application to be filled out and approved prior to meeting her as all of our animals are in private foster homes. Please fill out all information as we cannot process incomplete applications. A phone number for your veterinarian is a must. Applications will not be processed without your vet’s phone number.

Why adoption is a great option

Rosie, a Hillsboro Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Hillsboro, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Hillsboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hillsboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hillsboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hillsboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
