My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Jethro along with another female hound were found as strays In rural Georgi. Another rescue took the female and we Were asked to help with the male. Jethro is an amazing loving outgoing dog. He has the natural easy-going temperament of a hound and lives in a multi-dog household peacefully with other dogs! This is what his foster says about him:

Jethro is a very sweet and loveable puppy. Jethro has a happy go lucky personality. He has a lot of energy and can be a big goofball.

Jethro loves everyone!  He loves to be with his people. He loves physical contact with his people. When he’s sitting with me on the couch, he has to be touching me somehow…even if it’s just his paw touching my leg. He needs a family that will actively engage with him. Jethro loves to play with his people and spend time with them. He actively seeks out engagement with people. He also loves his people so much that he likes stealing their laundry and shoes!

Jethro loves, loves, loves toys of all kinds! He will hoard them and play with all of them (Nylabone, Kong, rope toys, plushies, and balls) in one sitting. We are working on teaching him how to play ball and tug of war but are having mixed results. He loves treats. He hasn’t met a treat he doesn’t like…well, maybe vegetables. He would also gladly share your food with you! He has a great appetite.

Jethro is potty trained. We are working on crate training (Jethro is not a fan). We are also working on leash training. Jethro enjoys going on walks and he is getting better with each one. He sleeps with us at night.

Jethro would do well in a home with another dog. He gets along with most other dogs. Jethro has that “little brother” personality. He looks to our dogs to understand situations and get guidance on what to do. Jethro loves kids. Jethro needs to be in a cat free home.

Jethro has been a joy to foster. He puts a smile on our faces every day. Any family would be lucky to adopt this wonderful pup!
