My story

Apollo is an adorable 3 month old Shepherd/heeler mix puppy! He’s very sweet and affectionate, and he gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home. He’s a happy boy who loves to play fetch with his favorite squeaky ball. Apollo is also an avid snuggler.

This smart boy is working on basic commands and doing great with potty training. He is learning to ring a bell when he needs to go outside. Apollo is crate trained and sleeps through the night.

Even though Apollo is an indoor dog, he’ll need a home with a fenced yard for playtime. No apartments please.

Why adoption is a great option

Apollo, a Flower Mound Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Cattle Dog for sale in Flower Mound, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Flower Mound.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Flower Mound already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Flower Mound breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Cattle Dog breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Flower Mound paves the way for another one to be saved.
