My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is a courtesy listing for a private party. Please contact the organization listed below if you are interested in adopting this pet.

Meet JayJay! Full of life and eager to please, this poor boy found himself at a local shelter and quickly ran out of time when his owner never came forward to claim him. It was probably a good thing that his "owner" never stepped up because JayJay was a filthy, neglected mess -- raw skin, long toenails and crusty ears with dirt and oil smeared across his fur, he was a very sad sight to behold. The dark marks around his neck were tell-tale signs of an empty life lived at the end of a chain.

As you can imagine he didn't garner much interest from the public. But Pit Bull Rescue San DIego knew better than to judge a book by its cover. They knew that underneath his rough exterior there was a loyal, unconditionally loving canine companion. He didn't deserve to die after all he'd been through, especially with his condition being no fault of his own. He deserved to love and be loved and PBRSD was detirmined to save him. On his euthanasia date he was given a second chance at life and went straight into a caring foster home for a nice warm bath and lots of long-overdue TLC.

Every day JayJay shows his new people friends a new facet of his vibrant personality. They're learning that he likes to meet new friends on walks and is especially drawn to men. He also knows some basic commands and will sit pretty while waiting patiently for tasty treats. JayJay can brighten up the darkest day with his smile and is so happy just to be by your side or giving you gentle kisses.

Life has definitely taken a turn for the better for JayJay. Long gone are the days spent tied outside and ignored, filthy and hungry. All he needs now is a true friend to spend many happy years with, loving life and living it to the fullest. Could you be JayJay's special someone?
