My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Max is 10 years old and weighs 60 pounds. He is a shiba inu mix, but has long fur, so he may be mixed with a kind of collie, retriever, or shepherd as well. He is calm, older gentleman, but still has some pep in his step and does enjoy playing outside. He knows "come," "sit," "wait," and "get back." He is crate-trained and house-trained as well. As a younger dog in his previous home, he used to try to jump/climb over the backyard fence but has broken out of the habit with age and training. For safety, we will be requiring no yard, or a yard with a taller fence to continue to be sure he stays safely home. Max does well with adults, kids, and dogs but is not a fan of cats or chickens. He LOVES to cuddle and would make a wonderful couch companion for movie nights! A blood test to ensure he is healthy, and dental care is included in his adoption fee.

If this listing is still posted, we are still accepting applications. We do not do out-of-state adoptions. We do not hold dogs, please submit your application when you are ready to adopt.

If you are interested in meeting any Poochmatch dog, please visit our website to complete an adoption application. It is in the ADOPTION folder at the top of our home page. Just fill in the blanks and SEND.
We commonly receive multiple applications for a single dog. Nevertheless, only one applicant will be invited to meet a dog on Saturday at Petsmart in Yorba Linda between noon and 3 pm OR on a mutually agreeable day, time and place during the week.

All adoption fees cover the mandatory and non-negotiable spay/neuter, rabies, microchip, microchip registration, full sets of core vaccinations (rabies and 1 set of distemper/parvo for adults, 4 for puppies) and deworming. Adoption fees vary based on age, breed, size and the costs incurred on the dog's behalf by us i.e. medical, behavioral training, etc.
