My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lady is ready to find her forever home. Lady is a red heeler mix believed to be around 7 yrs old. She weighs approx 45 lbs.

Lady somehow made her way and was found on someone's property in TN. Every effort was made to find her owner, but no one ever came forward. The person who found her reached out for help and ASF came to her rescue.

Lady is a great dog! She is quiet and well mannered. She is definitely an inside dog and wants to be close to her person. She is content and happiest just lying near wherever you are. She may follow you from room to room at first just to make sure of where you are. She loves to go on walks and gets excited when she knows she's going. She stands perfectly still for her harness to be put on and walks perfectly on the leash. She does well in a fenced yard but prefers you to be out there with her. We found this out when we let her out with the others in the back fenced yard and she climbed the fence to come straight to the front porch to find us. Thankfully, we were out there and prepared when this happened. We learned quickly not leave her unattended. She just needs to feel safe. She is not a fan of loud noises or storms.

Lady is very friendly, good with children and is fine with other dogs. She has done well with the cats, a little curious at times, but nothing more. We feel a calm, quiet home would be best suited for her.

She is completely housebroken.
She did very well at her vet visit and they all loved her and commented on how well behaved she was. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on preventatives and microchipped.

Lady is so deserving and will make a wonderful family addition. If you feel she would be a good fit, please fill out our adoption application. Lady is being fostered in Soddy Daisy, TN.
