Elvis and his brother Freddie are the most adorable, super social brothers. They never meet a stranger, and they love the other dogs in their foster home. They came to us from a small town in East TX where they were surrendered to the shelter.

Elvis will tell his foster mom when it is time to eat, or he will try to talk back to her when she speaks to him. He has a very endearing personality that just makes him so loveable. We listed him as a Dachshund mix but we really aren't sure of his breed so let's just say he is one of the cutest pups ever!

Like all puppies, Elvis needs an adopter who is willing to train and work with him to help him be the best dog he can be.

If you would like to meet Elvis, the first step in the process is to complete an application. Please go to roadtrip4paws.com and click on the Adopt tab to find a link to our online application.

Why adoption is a great option

Elvis, a Colleyville Dachshund/Redbone Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Redbone Coonhound for sale in Colleyville, or seeking a Dachshund/Redbone Coonhound dog from a breeder in Colleyville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Colleyville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Colleyville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Redbone Coonhound breeders who help with Dachshund/Redbone Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Colleyville paves the way for another one to be saved.
