My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Millie is a 4m old terrier mixed pup who surely is a MIRACLE!!! This sweet baby was found on her death bed, rushed to the vet where it was a touch and go situation. She was loaded with hookworms and the vet believes she was poisoned with rat poisoning. Millie required an immediate blood transfusion. Yes, Did you know there are Canine blood donors! Well Millie was Blessed to receive a blood transfusion from a handsome and healthy Rottweiler named Renegade. Talk about a lifesaver!!! Millie's body accepted his blood and within 48hrs she miraculously not only defeated death but is now bouncing around as if nothing ever happened and is acting like all puppies should, goofy, loving, fun and great to be around.

We guestimate she will be on the smaller spectrum of a medium sized dog. But this beautiful fun loving gal is ready to enjoy her life and any family willing to open their heart and home to her will be completely rewarded with her love and sweet personality.

We are extremely grateful to Renegade (Ren) and his Awesome Dad Chris for allowing Ren to be a blood donor and Millie's Angel!  Ren will forever live in Millie!

We are looking for an adopter or a foster for Millie in the Orange County, NY area.  She is dog friendly and house trained, however, please keep in mind all new dogs must be put on a potty training schedule and until they get the hang of it, may have accidents.

If interested, please complete an application.  Note, Applications are not an obligation to adopting the animal.  And an approved application does not guarantee you will be chosen to adopt the animal.  Meet and greets with all of our animals are required to ensure the animal and your/ your family are the right fit for one another.
