My story

*Ginger is currently at the Hollymead Petsmart in Charlottesville*

Ginger is quite the cat. She’s got loads of personality. She came into the shelter pregnant and not long after had her babies. She was such a great mother! She took such great care of her babies and didn’t even hesitate to help take care of some orphan kittens that came in. How sweet! Ginger has since weaned all her babies and is now looking for a place to call her own, where she can kick up her feet. Ginger would prefer to be an only cat as she doesn’t seem to want to interact with the other cats here at MGHS. She will hiss at others who are too demanding and in her face. When that happens she does prefer to try to run away from the conflict. Ginger is also quite the drama Queen when you need to pick her up. She makes the silliest noises at you. Ginger does like to be petted and paid attention too. Ginger would also probably do best in a household with older children who will respect her boundaries. Come on in and meet this sassy, silly girl and fall in love with her!

All of our cats are spayed and neutered prior to adoption. MGHS is currently open Tuesday - Saturday from 12pm to 5pm. We are closed on Sunday and Mondays. For more info you can reach us at (434) 985-3203
