My story

Handsome Billy will be 3 in August. After his very short racing career in Tijuana, he sustained a career ending injury and is now looking forward to being a cherished pet. His small dog and cat status is not yet known.

Prospective adopters should fill out an on-line application at our website. An adoption coordinator will contact you. After that, a home check will be scheduled. If that is successful and you are approved for adoption, you will begin meeting dogs.If you decide to pursue adoption, we require that you complete an adoption contract. You will have 10 day trial foster to adopt period before the adoption is finalized. The adoption fee is $400 for dogs under 8 years and $300 for dogs over 8. Irish greyhounds fees are higher due to transportation costs.This includes neuter/spay, a minor dental cleaning, shots, de-worming, heart worm testing and micro-chipping and treatment of any medical conditions or injuries pre-adoption, a martingale collar and leash, one dose of Heartgard and the first years membership to Southern Arizona Greyhound Adoption..

We are non-profit and totally volunteer run, so every dollar goes to the care and promotion of the dogs. We strive to provide the best adoption experience and follow-up afterwards. Our volunteers seek to educate the public about the wonderful greyhound breed and what great companions they make after their racing careers are done. We are a 501c3 non-profit.
